Growing up in eastern Washington, Adam realized that if he was going to spend his life looking at things, he'd like to help make sure they looked pleasant.

He graduated from the Western Washington University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s in Studio Arts after completing a multi-disciplinary course of study in graphic design, painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, gallery management, audio engineering and more. After art school, as one does, he traveled. Spending a year in the Czech Republic teaching English and working as the Art Director for a small hotel.

Eventually he settled in New York City where he worked (and traveled) for a year with the SCOPE Art Fair. Following that, he took a job as Special Projects Manager at a renowned international art shipping and handling company. This fast-paced and high-stress job had him managing teams of art packers handling multi-million dollar works, coordinating with clients and shippers, creating estimates and bidding for contracts with prestigious museums and galleries, creating and maintaining an inventory of fine art  encompassing hundreds of thousands of pieces in every media imaginable, as well as creating ads, a website, and redesigning the company logo.

Adam and his wife relocated to Oregon in 2012. He currently works as Communications Specialist at First Alternative Natural Foods Co-op, designing, writing, and editing the Thymes—a full-color 20-page magazine available in 60+ Corvallis locations—planning and creating ad campaigns in print and online, along with managing (and greatly expanding) their social media presence.

In his spare time he does freelance work for new and established local businesses and organizations, like the Center for Applied Ecology, Sunbow Produce, Whole Flower Farms, and Heart of the Valley Salsa.
